This and That

Congratulations on the scrubbing of the porch! In all the things I've done recently, I have not scrubbed any porches. 

I did, however, learn to use a machete- which was quite exciting. A bit like swinging a sward. Not that I've ever done that. We've all had so much fun with the machete that all of Allison's trees are quickly becoming naked. 

Anyway- I'm now up at John's, where we're trying not to be too down on the crappy weather. Yesterday involved much watching of the Wire, and a hike up Bald Mountain, which was not Bald. Today is going to be full of cooking, since Sarah and Rob are coming for dinner. And hopefully, the weather will improve so that we can do more hiking, caving, climbing, etc. Plus, digging this weekend. 

Anyway, off to eat freshly made scones.
